Pocatello, Idaho
We've been to many places, but sometimes the ones close to home are the best. Our favorite in-union spot to visit is Pocatello. Pokey isn't one of those towns you'd probably pick to go to on vacation. There aren't a lot of attractions or exciting things to do. But if you're going to play rugby, then Pokey is the place.

It all starts with the rugby, of course. The Slugs took on the combined side from ISU and Boise. What an intense game. We won it 24-12, but the Idaho girls put up a great fight. Our forward pack had some great rucks, and were very effective in the scrum. We had a few rookies and some whores in the backline, so kudos to them for playing as well as they did.
Once the game was over, it was off to the drink-up. We headed over to Goodie's on 903 S 5th St. It's a little sub shop with a bar in the back. Of course, we skipped the shop and headed straight for the bar. Many hijinx ensued. The rugby card game was played to the delight of all, and we had some good singing as well. Much to the joy of the 4 guys sitting at the bar, all of the girls that were still there by the end displayed their charms for a polaroid picture. If I can get my hands on them, I will post them. We were in the bar for about 3-4 hours, and then headed for the hotel. When in Pocatello, we ALWAYS stay at the Holidome, the Holiday Inn on Pocatello Creek Rd. It has an indoor pool and hot tub, plus a restaurant and bar, all spitting distance from the room. After some time in the tub we all gathered to play the "I Never" game. Many secrets were revealed, and for a small fee I will repeat them. While at the hotel we killed off 2 1/2 cases of beer and at least 2 bottles of wine. We went down to the bar for eats and some more drinks before going out. Try the prime rib, it's excellent there. Then it was off to our favorite bar, the Center Street Clubhouse. It's the local rugby bar. Our recommendation is to take cabs when you go out. They're cheap and safe. Center Street was kicking, and many shots were consumed. We also staggered down the street to Charley's, the only gay bar in Pokey. There Zie won a dance contest. They didn't ask if she wasn't a lesbian, and we didn't tell. Heterosexuality aside, she was definitely the most kickin'. Sunday meant a huge hangover for all. We cured it with breakfast at Elmer's, just up the street from Goodie's. Another rockin' time in Pocatello.

For her birthday, Joanna got to do a shot of ketchup. Yummy.

The Bad Stuff
During the game, we were bitchy like menopausal transvestites, and came very close to getting penalized for not shutting up.
At Center Street, Mike almost got thrown out for complaining over-loudly to us about the lake on the men's room floor. For some reason the bartender took it personally and she got the bouncer into it.
Also at Center Street: the sonofabitch who grabbed Amber's ass (she plays for Idaho), called her an unrepeatable name, and then called the cops on Heather when she got into his face and shoved him. What a man.
